Siddiq Barmak, is one of the best directors in Afghanistan´s cinema history. His best film is Begana, which another great afghan actor have a role in it (Salam Sangi). Siddiq Barmak is very popular among Afghans, for his good ideas and film making. Siddiq Barmak is also the director of Afghan film industry.

Recently Siddiq has been engaged with some movies which we will introduce in Afghan Cinema Site.

Homayun Morowat has been living in Sweden since 1998 and his dream is to make films, because he is thirsty of his art. Homayun Morowat is not just a great director, he is a very great actor and also a very great poet and composor. Homayum Morowat played his first role in Zoghale Sabz (green goal) the film was shoot in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Russia. The film (Zoghale Sabz) was a unique attempt of a new and better cinema in Afghanistan, the film was successful but as we mentioned the "regulation of choosing film" in Afghan cinema history page, this film became also a victime of politic!

Name: Ahmadi (Engineer) Latif

Engineer Latif is one of the best director in Afghanistan by making the film Gonah and hamasai eshq he became very famouse in Afghanistan and also became chief of Afghan film.

Engineer Latif´s latest films are Sher aqa wa Shereen Goal, and eshq Pery, by seeing the film Sher aqa wa Shereen Goal, it´s quite difficult to believe that it´s Engineer Latif´s work, he can do his work much better than he has done in out side Afghanistan.

Name: Abdel Wahed Nazari

Abdul Wahed Nazari, is another great director and writer of Afghanistan.
The best work of Nazari is well known "Da konde zoi". How ever the "Da konde zoi" was a television series, but it made a very great impression on Afghan cinema.
After finishing the upper secondary school, he attented the Kabul university, majored in law. And later, he accepted a governmental scholarship for higher education majored in cinema (director).

In 1983 he got his doctorate diplama as director, and later in the year he returned to Afghanistan. After that he was working as television and Afghan cinema director. The recent years, he was teacher of fine art of university of Kabul.
